*soft music, the notes slower than usual. There's a chirp, followed by a pause in the tune before it starts again. Yet again, the piece falters and stops and this time, a chorus of squeaking goes up, barely masking a sharp cry. A moment later, there's a sharp note and the noise falls silent.*

.... I can't... Shells and shards, I hate this place. I want to go home.

*soft music is playing in the background*

I'll be happy when the madness with the boxes is over. It's caused too much strife and pain in this city. People are even dying for the selfishness of others and while that isn't something new, it's still shameful.

... I've got two of those statue things in my apartment. Thankfully, there's eleven pairs of eyes to keep watch on them. Thankfully, they haven't moved since I got out of bed.

.. it's going to be a long day.

I feel as if I've let my music slip for far too long. Lestat would be cross with me if I didn't keep up, as would Gren and my own Master. I'll be playing in Xanadu tonight, if anyone would like to join me.

It's truly wonderful to be back in my apartment. Thank you for letting me out so soon Solomon. I promise I'm not exerting myself.

As nice as everyone here is, I'd like to be released soon, please. I can rest just as well back in my apartment and there's only so many things to write or do in here.

-a click, followed by a wavering image. It's a beautiful fall afternoon in Xanadu, which belies the scene that comes into focus. In the lower branches of one of the brightly colored trees is a bloody body, her eyes still open and her hair hanging towards the ground not far below. A hand hangs low as well, blood dripping from its pale, limp fingers as the body sways idly in the gentle breeze that teases the falling leaves. There's something red and wet looking helping to hang the body from a branch and if anyone looks closely enough, they'll see that the red 'rope' is actually emerging from the torn belly of the newly dead girl. A voice off camera ask, "looks splendid~, don't you think?" a moment before the camera angle changes, letting the video catch the image of a deep red swastika painted on the trunk before the feed is cut.
